A Typical Daily Schedule For A Successful Freelancing Consultant
Becoming a freelancer can be a fun, and can also be a very ewarding career. You’re going to be your own boss, but it’s going to take a lot of discipline. If you’re thinking about becoming a freelancer, a schedule is going to be mandatory in order to ensure that work gets done. Without a schedule, things could fall behind, resulting in a loss of clients.
Set your alarm clock: Always make sure that you wake up the same time each morning. Treat this like a job. So, you can choose to wake up at 6, 7, 8AM, etc. Be sure to follow this routine on a daily basis.
Write down your goals: Each and every day, you’re going to want to write down your goals. What do you want to accomplish today? Just because you’re working from home, it doesn’t mean that you can slack off. Most successful freelancers are going to put in eight to ten hour workdays.
Work the day away: Take your normal 30 minute breaks for lunch, snacks and the bathroom. If you have a child, you may want to consider getting a babysitter or daycare, since they can interfere with your work. While you’re going to have to pay, it’s going to be a good investment.
A schedule for a freelancer is going to be no different than the corporate setting. Set your alarm clock, set your goal for at least eight hours a day, and be sure to adjust a schedule that fits your lifestyle!
